2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pale yellow with a small white head that looked good but didn’t last too long. The aroma was slightly skunky, (thank you green bottle), and a slight smell of hops. The taste wasn’t too bad, a little bit of hops, but certainly nothing to bring me back and have another one.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
500 ml bottle from BevMo. Pours clear light amber with a small white head that quickly diminished to a thin ring of bubbles. Light aroma of soapy malts and dominant floral hops. Unimpressive, unbalanced flavor, watery, lightly malty with a sharp, metallic-citric hop character and a lingering citric aftertaste. Light body and foamy carbonation. Like the last rater, I bought this one strictly to add Bulgaria to my country list. But I guess that I didn’t really expect much from a Bulgarian pale lager.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
500ml bottle. Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is cereal, corn, sweet and grain. A light bodied pale lager. Malts are bread and sweet. Touch of hops in there somewhere. Its watery bland and sweet. It tastes for lack of a better deScriptor, like a bowl of corn flakes, a plasticy bowl of cornflakes. At least there is no green bottle flavors. OK I will admit I only bought this beer to add Bulgaria to my country list…. NEXT…. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a little astringent.

Pours a typical pale lager color. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Some skunk and acidity as well. Very watery flavor. Some bad grain flavor and a lovely generic corn flakes aftertaste. Reminds me of an NA.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. It looks nice. That is where it ends. Actually my first taste of this beast wasn’t half bad. Probably still too cold from the fridge. Indeed skunky, lightstruck hop aroma. Nice golden color with a dense white head. Great lacing. Taste which was initially decent while frigid turns for the worse as the beer warms bringing out undesireable flavors of sickly sweetness, and for the first time I have truly tasted a metallic taste. While exciting for the memory banks it doesn’t fit well for beer. Pass.
