3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JulienHuxley (1705) - Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 15, 2013
On tap u vsech certu (04/03/13). Light hazy gold pour, frothy white head. Biscuity aroma, light honey, herbal notes, a hint of rosemary, really herbal. Flavour of fresh bread crust, crisp malt really grassy/herbal finish, hay, rosemary, a tad mineral. Palate is dry, well carbed, just silky enough. Good, a bit too grassy/herbal.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 11, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Yeast-covered honey are accompanied by floral hops and their wood-like bitterness in this approachable Desitka.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the cloudy honey golden.
-Again, this one felt like it was too quickly lagered.
-Even though all of their beers were drinkable, I didn’t think they stood out much amongst the high quality Svetlys brewed in Czechia.
On tap at U Vsech Certu, Brno.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 heavy (1954) - Split, CROATIA - JUL 30, 2012
20/07 On tap at Starosloviensky pivovar, Bratislava. Interesting they had that one when they didn’t have their own beer! It poured hazy golden body with small head. Herbal hoppy aroma. Light flavor, ranging from sweet to bitter, usual bread malt were used with usual herbal hops. Slightly sour hop finish reveals unpasteurized nature of the beer. A decent pils, of course for 10° you can’t expect much better anyway.

Clear golden. Small persistent white head. Aroma grain, bread. Taste medium bitter, light acidic-sweet. Overall pretty bitter, but dull, medium dry bitter finish. Lacks complexity.
