Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen.
The eighth beer of the Vinarna Hrozen tasting at the RBESG 2008. Light hazy amber coloured, small (almost no) beige head, dusty nose. Aroma of hops and caramel with nutty notes and light touch of alcohol in the herbal hoppy finish.

From tap at Hrozen. Pours clear and golden amber with a lacing white head. Aroma is mild roasted malt, light metallic and mild fruity. Flavour is light fruity and with a subdued metallic note. Slowly building bitterness into the finish.

June 2008. Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen. Pale amber colour. Good balance of malt, hops and butterscotch, both in aroma and flavour. Solid Czech Vienna Bohemian Style. It’s tasty and good floral hoppy. Medium bitter.

On tap. Slightly hazy amber golden with a dense off-white and lacing head. Sweet caramel in the nose. Medium body, low carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. Sweet caramel and malt - almost candy-like - yet balanced with solid hops. 270608

Drafted at Klub Malych Pivovaru, the Czech version of this style usually has a redish color, but it looks more like a lager, golden with a white foamy head.Aroma’s of cinnamon rolls, nutmeg, hot wine, icing.Has a wonderful flavor, cinnamon roll dough, yeast, raisin, vanilla, woody.I’m really diggin this beer.

On tap U Vsech Certu (04/03/13). Hazy dark gold/amber pour with creamy white head. Aroma of well done toast, a strong yeast charachter is present in the aroma, fruity esters are just reminiscent enough of alcohol. Roasty flavor, light yeastiness, fruity body, hops remain to be found, slightly mineral on the finish. Palate is rich and creamy yet very easy drinking. Not a remarkable example but a highly drinkable beer.

Tap at the place with 12 taps 2 kegs and no idea how to pour beer. Alround rating: Pale and caramalt, sulphury peppery hop, bitter finish.

Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen Clear amber, thin beige head. Some actual decent malt on aroma. Cereal and some toffee in mouth. Then ther is a building hoppiness on finish that almost burns the tongue. The most malty of the beers so far. That hint of aluminium I’ve detected on some of these beers and then this buidling hop.

Svesse (6044) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 2, 2008
(Draught at U Věstonického Venouše, Prague, 21 July 2008) Pale amber colour, cloudy, with a frothy, white head. Malty, yeasty, citric nose with notes of hay and lemon. Malty, yeasty taste with toffee, caramel, hay and a grassy, bitter finish. Slightly citric (or acidic), starts sweet and turnes drier towards the finish. Rather complex. Nice, but kind of strange.
