Can: Golden, mid-sized stable off-white head with a good lace; grainy-bready-buttery nose (the last traces of a former bohemian brewery) with a slight veggy-metallic background; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, relatively soft; slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish, followed by a metallic tail. At least drinkable....

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Schroppfy (2319) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - SEP 7, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2010 Well, this is a pilsner of pretty good caliber. Great conditioning even though the bottle is slightly out of date (June), lots of lacing, lovely color, and the aroma - finally, Finally, FINALLY real hoppiness in a Polish beer! Hooray! Very flowery with pencil shavings - nobelness is shining through in the aroma. The flavor is a typical bready, grassy pils malt base with hop tinges throughout - there is a little watery hole in the palate midway through to the final. Intensely drinkable, and giving the two (separate?) Browar Czarnków jasne Noteckie beers a run for their money as the best beer I have had yet in Poland.
My beer guy has got to learn my preferences, big time!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 estpiwo (938) - ESTONIA - JUN 25, 2010
From bottle and draft in Zywiec, Poland. Grassy aroma, pale golden color. This beer is more hoppy, but aftertaste is not so long.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beer2000 (2918) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 23, 2010
tap @ Marchewka z Groszkiem, Krakow. Golden body with a fine off-white head.
Aroma is malty, fruity and some grassy hop. Flavor has a sharp malt profile, a hint of caramel, fruity and ends with a grassy hop finish. Very refreshing, and after a few days with some polish lagers this one stands out. This was tasted fresh from tap and I was told that this was unfiltered.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Quack-Duck (5599) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 2, 2008
can, Danke Arek! Clear golden yellow, large white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty with a fruity touch, slightly hoppy. Metallic flavours present, otherwise a good one.
POLSKIE PIWO NUMER 50!
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heavy (1466) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 10, 2008
07/08 As Brackie Cieszyn, directly from a 0.5 l can on a gas station around Katowice. Pretty industrial fruity malty and grass hoppy aroma, not so bad but far from great. Flavor is of a typical watery pale lager hopped with some sourish things. Slightly bitter, somewhat grainy as well. Fine medium long finish, bitterish. After two Czech beers this is a disappointment, but OK, a bit more than average pale lager.
