Tapped at the brewpub.Color is like dark espresso. The smell is a mix of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. The is a minor of fresh green apples. The aftertaste remids for coffee without sugar and milk. I recommend it with the chocolate cake.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tapped at the brewpub. Creamy espresso head, beige color. Beer color is almost absolute black, but dark amber when flash lighted. Aroma is fantastic! Roasted malt, some dark fruit, and a fresh pealed green apple, but only marginal. The pleasant minor sourness reminds me of that apple.
The taste is of roasted malt, very bitte coffee, hops with a dark chocolate aftertaste.
Overall a very very good dark lager!

50 cl mug at the brewery. Dark brown color, hazed, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, toasted, good cereals, very tasty. Still a doughy thing, but pretty smooth. Sweetish with a proper hoppy balance. Light to medium bodied, low carbonation, very pleasing and smooth. Crude feel as the others, fresh and appreciable.

Draft. Large beige head atop dark brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, some caramel, light bittersweet chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, roast, some cola, light caramel. Light-medium body, light stickiness. I’d consider this a schwarzbier rather than a dunkel.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes pleasantly cold with a dense head and a solid dark chestnut colour. Slightly acidic malt aroma. Solid brew, malty with a hint of sourness. Good.
