2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A golden yellow coloured beer with a weak white head. A strong, slightly metallic aroma of hops and a touch of malt. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel. The taste is dry, biscuity malt that is followed by a zesty tang of green hops, a touch herbal, but the metallic element is present again towards the end, which spoils the finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is grass, malt, very sweet. The appearance is gold/orange, white head. The flavor is grass, malt, sweet. The finish is light noble hops, sweetness lingering. Almost no hops. Very fat in body for the style. Not a huge fan of the style, but this is not bad. Maybe if this beer was fresher I would enjoy it more.

Bottle. Sour barley malt and grassy/herbal hops aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet barley malt and slightly bitter grassy hops flavor. Nice - wish I could get it fresher though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ dry dock Leicester (of all places). Malty grassy aroma. Sweet for a pilsner, but nice biscuity taste with a slight hoppiness (for an eastern/central European beer). Nice enough- you could certainly have a session on this and it's a nice mild 4.6% I like this actually. For what it is.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A bit sweet for a pilsner - I taste some caramel, which was unexpected. There’s a bit of English pub ale in here. Seems underhopped for the style. Smooth, drinkable. Extra points for longevity (brewed since 1004).

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Carrboro Beverage Co. BB 09.06.16. Golden, medium carbonated, with thin film of fading white head. Nose is sweet and lightly metallic; white (vanilla) cake, nutmeg, cinnamon, horchata-like--very odd. Flavor is sweet and metallic, like sucking on a penny. WTF. This either sucks or this style is another one of those acquired taste scenarios. Another 2-3 small sip drain pour. I need to stop buying ticks before looking them up. Dammit, $4 down the drain.
