Bottled. Mahogany colour. Vague coffee aroma. Sweet and soft, lightly roasty. A very discrete beer with low bitterness and no flaws.

Brown color with small off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke note a bit caramel. Taste is light sweet, slight metalic flavor. Light body, thin to oily texture, lively carbonation. Good for the price.

Bottled. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and straw, while the flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel.

Christian (11260) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 6, 2008
Bottled on the main square in Zatec. Amber with a lasting off-white head. Toasted malt and a caramel aroma. Drybready malt flavour. Finishes with a nice German Schwarzbier roasted note, but is generally a little boring.

Bottled. Deep amber colour, big fluffy beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some earth and mild sugary notes. Flavour is slightly metallic, sweet malty and also has some hints of sugar and grains/grass.

Bottle, bought @ the Zatec brewery.
Pours clear, dark brown amber with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Fine lacing. Aroma is soft sweetness, a touch of chocolate and lightly roasted. Okay mouthfeel, but a little thin. Flavour is quite sweet, some roasted caramel and a touch of liqourice. Light dryness. Nothing special.

beerbuzzmontreal (3490) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 1, 2005
Pours a dark brown color with a ring of offwhite lace. Aroma and flavor of roasted malt and fruits with some sweetness. The palate is light and creamy and is prickled by lively carbonation. Kind of boring, a bit of this a bit of that but not enough to keep a beer geek interested.

The Lure:
Roasted malt tickles the nostrils, and chats with some fruitiness. All is tame and without consequence. I would like some sweetness to link them.

The Festivities:
Roasted berries and feeble caramel are drained of their vitality by the frail body. Lots of carbonation impedes on what little malt complexity there is. An ordinary tmavé without any outstanding qualities.

Transcendence:
Yawning helps you pop your ears.

ClubGonzo (4175) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2014
Bottle from Pivoteka Beergeek, Prague. Pours a deep mahogany brown body with a large rocky off-white head. Aroma is caramel, straw, nuts, dusty hops, hints of cardboard and leather. Taste is strong metal notes, caramel, bread, grains and hints of toffee. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Not convincing at all.
