COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

From a bottle poured a dark brown color with a fair amount of head. Nice light toasted malty flavor with a quick finish.

Pretty good beer. Poured with a decent sized, foamy, frothy, thick, creamy, light tan head and a little lace. Color is a clear dark brown amber. Aroma is malt, roast, fresh baked dark bread, toffee. Flavor is similar to nose with a little sweetness that’s nicely countered with the yeast, dark malt, and carbonic acid. Body is good, smooth and full yet cut again by carbonic acid. Finish is like flavor, has good length, and is clean. Session beer.

Pours brown with red taints and a nice beige head, aroma of vanilla, toasted bread, butter cookies and some white chocolate, flavor of roasred malt, dark bread, rye, coffee and some herby hops, medium bodied, a nice dunkel

500ml bottle. Deep burgundy brown-black. Massive, steady off-white/beige head. Mild and smooth, eay drinking dark lager. Creamy. with a mild hop balance. Some berry butterscotch notes in the finish. Thin, medium body. Straightforward, drinkable, but sort of bland. An interesting change of pace but not exactly a World Class Dunkel.

Another nice beer from these guys. Some roast in the aroma, quite a bit more in the body. Malts as well, and just a bit sweet. Really a pretty good dunkel.

tomer (2850) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAY 28, 2011
Bottle, as "dark lager", small brownish stable head, dark brown colour with a touch of reddish streaks, aroma of dark bread with just a hint of roasted coffee that is not too aromatic, flavour is dominated by a malty roastiness that is unbalanced and bitter with some chocolate creeping behind, feels light bodied inspite of the relativly strong alcoholic content. Not the greatest of dunkels.

ContemplateBeer (1969) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 5, 2011
Aroma of bittersweet chocolate, apple, raisins and roasted coffee. Appearance is very dark cola brown with frothy 1/2 in. head in my stein; this head remained quite frothy well into the beer. Flavor starts out with chocolate/roasted flavors and moves to more apple/raisins/dark fruit; the finish comes through with some lemon-kissed herbal hops. Palate was bubbly and lively. Outstanding for the style.

Öliger Geruch. Hopfig semiger Antrunk, weich, mittel-aromatisch und etwas ölig. Mit der Zeit süffiger werdend, im Abgang auch hopfig, nur wenig würzig und bitter. Test vom 22.9.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,10,9,12,9

Bottle. Pours a light bruin body with an off white head. Aromatically malty with dark fruit tones and caramel malts. Hints of toffee and light nutty coffee bitterness. Toasted malty with a medium body and soft bitter finish. Nice.

500ml bottle from Capital Market, Salem.$3.49 Im guessing this is this beer..the label is very different but the alc is the same and its called ’Dark lager Beer" Nice brown with a garnet tinge to it beer, with a lovelly ,huge frothy, thick creme coloured head. Aroma is mostly dark chocolate, weak coffees, and some breadiness. Taste is mostly the same with some additions of dark dried fruits and a brisk hop note in the end. Kinda thin but not too bad on the palate. OK..but somewhat dissapointed given some of the earlier reviews.. IS this really the same beer?
