4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very smooth, yet dark and flavorful. Dark lager describes it very well. It has the mild flavor of a lager with the boldness of a dark beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pleasant surprise. Bottle pours caramel color with thick frothy off-white head with great lacing. Aroma sweet malts. Taste matches with sweet malts, caramel, toffee. Palate thick and carbonated, not syrupy. Finish slightly bitter hops but not overbearing and I’m not a big hops fan. Alcohol slightly evident.
This is a very sweet beer and won’t appeal to everybody, but I enjoyed it.

[Bottle] Pours a solid black color with a foamy tan head. Aroma of sweet molasses, vanilla and some earth. The taste is of sweet dark malts, grains, roast, some grass and cocoa. Dry and dusty finish. Prickly carbonation. This beer is pretty good, but a tad light in body.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours really dark brown with a foamy 3 finger beige head. Smells like sweet light roast malt. Med. minus body with light fizzy carbonation. Flavor is sweet mild roast malt. I’d believe dunkel. Sure there’s hop in here, but not sure what. Grassy?

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
500mL bottle. Poured clear iced tea brown with a short, tighter-bubbled beige head. The aroma picked up sweet caramel, molasses, and nutty notes with overtones of something meaty.. clean and calculated.. no complaints. The flavor found sticky honey and molasses the whole way through with sharp, almost metallic malty notes and nondescript bitterness taking over.. the malts made a final, diabetes-inducing push at the end, but the drink never regained pleasantness. Light-medium bodied, sweet, and sticky on the palate.. again, the sharpness was not enjoyable.
