COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zatecky Gus (Zhatetsky goose) is a light lager with a light traditional flavor. This beer is brewed on the original recipe with addition of famous Czech aromatic hop of Zhatetsky variety. This hop gives the beer its specific aroma and slight bitterness. The new beer drinks easily. Zatecky Gus is a unique opportunity to enjoy the beer, which is not expensive and brewed in the best Czech traditions. The Zhatetsky hop has been grown in the area of Zhatets town in northern Czechia for more than 700 years. From the old times the hops has been famous not only in Czechia, but as well in the neighbouring regions. Zhatets is often called the world hop capital — Zhatetsky hop is one of the highest-quality hops in the world, it has been grown by the Institute of Hop growing. 11°

16.9 oz. green glass bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale gold with a fizzy white head that dissipates in about sixty seconds and leaves scant lace. The aroma is lager yeast, mild skunk, and just a bit of malt. The flavor is exactly the same with perhaps some very mild hops at the finish. Thin watery body. Thankfully, a cheap bottle.

Can. Clear golden colour. Malty aroma. Soft taste of sweet malt with a bit of fruity hops.

Green bottle from Half Time. Pours gold with a slight white head. Aroma is sort of corn with a hint of skunk - which might be my imagination. Med body. Flavor is bready with some arguably grassy hop - seems a bit gummy in the mouth. Skunk is still possibile, but very light if present.

A stale corny aroma, decent carbonation, oily texture and likewise corny flavour.

Bottle@Home. Earthy hop notes aroma, refreshing. Pale yellow, white head, good lace. Malty, light hoppy and bitter start but quickly disappears leaving nothing but grain. Thinnish, soft.

Ouch, this is pure water. IT literally tasted like water. Skunky smell. Where are my Saaz hops!?!?!?!?

Pale golden. Very metallic tasting wih a little bit of light sweetness. Meh - definitely a low point.

Pale straw. No head. Looks dull. Only the faintest hints of hop and malt, like they were aiming for a ghost of a Czech beer.
