2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 omhper (17561) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 2, 2011
Canned, from St. Petersburg. Clear golden, creamy head. Aroma of bread and earl grey tea. Fairly sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. Mild sugar and bread, slight hay-like saaz hops. Fairly low bitterness. Quite drinkable, although the saaz character is a bit too restrained and the Carlsberg/BBH cheap malt character is too obvious.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - AUG 15, 2011
Pale straw. No head. Looks dull. Only the faintest hints of hop and malt, like they were aiming for a ghost of a Czech beer.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 TBone (9997) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 7, 2012
Bottled 500ml (Maxima Tallinn, BB 11/2012)
Clear golden color, good white head. Cardboardish, skunky, grassy aroma. Light to medium bodied. Lots of cardboard, sweetish maltyness, low bitterness. Typical cheap East European/Baltic pale lager.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 bhensonb (9093) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 3, 2011
Green bottle from Half Time. Pours gold with a slight white head. Aroma is sort of corn with a hint of skunk - which might be my imagination. Med body. Flavor is bready with some arguably grassy hop - seems a bit gummy in the mouth. Skunk is still possibile, but very light if present.
0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 JoeMcPhee (7671) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2011
Pale golden. Very metallic tasting wih a little bit of light sweetness. Meh - definitely a low point.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 FatPhil (7597) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 8, 2010
500ml bottle (Stockmann, Tallinn)
4 Dry dusty, but also papery hop aroma.
2 Mid yellow, small head
3 Sweet and estery taste, grainy malts, has the eastern european fingerprint. However , it’s a mess of unwanted chemicals too
2 Lots of pencil sharpennings in the finish, quite aggressively bitter
6 Nice to see some evidence of hops in more classily branded beers, hopefully they can persuade the mass market that hops are a desireable quality. However, this is not a good example.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Quack-Duck (6885) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 14, 2012
bottle from a local Russian supermarket. Clear golden yelow ith a persistent white head. Fruity aroma. Light-bodied, sweet malty start with lots of fruit (apple, pear), shy hops with cardboard. A Bohemian Pilsener? A Czech name doesn’t make a Czech beer!

Tasted from a 500 mL bottle purchased in Aurora, Colorado. Quite clear pale golden appearance with a very light head. Aroma is similar to a golden lager that’s sweet and grainy. Bitter but a pretty weak Pilsener flavor. Pretty weak, bland flavor in general.
