3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33l bottle kindly provided by BelgBeerGeek. Thanks man! Slowly gushing out of the bottle, and in the glass this is a deep brown one with a lasting medium sized beige head. It smells rich and sweet with caramel, cocoa powder, yeast and some dried concentrated glazed fruits. Nice stuff! It’s average to lively carbonated with a mild oily to watery texture. The bottle is from 2008, and it might be a bit past it’s peak. Kinda oxidized with sweet flavors, more cocoa powder, light yeasty and fruity as well with a tone of chocolate and honey in the finish. Actually a really tasty one this, but as mentioned, think it perhaps could be past it’s prime. 30.06.2012
