Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy dark brown ale with taste of roasted malts, caramel, vanilla and maybe honey?

750 ml bottle shared at PPRBSG 2010. Pours cloudy dull copper with a thinning head- some particulates as well. Aroma is cardboard, old stale oxidized malts, solvent, lettuce, herbs and veges. Flavor is corked to hell, chemical, old stale hops and malt, lame phenolics, plastic, and some artificial sweeteners, chlorine and poolwater with some mildew and cork in the end. Blech.

Pours brown. Half-translucent. Awesome beige head, lasts through. Aroma is... some acidic substance (vineagar?), and somewhat fruity as well (plums?). Taste -- way too much honeyed, to the point that it’s overly metalic - mix with some overfermented pure apple juice. Leave an extremely annoying metallic feeling on the tongue. I’d avoid this one.

Bottle 33cl. A brown beer with good brownish head. Smell is on chocolate and brown malt. Aroma is nice on brown malts, quite creamy, sweet, finish has honey and vanilla aroma. Very pleasant beer, with spicy and pepper notes, caramel presence.

20100515 Sampled at PilsnerPeter’s 2nd Annual Spring Gathering. Chunky, brown color. Palate was a bit acidic, rather full with hefty carbonation. Honey on pancakes. Cork and wet wood. Not the first time I’ve had this one, certainly not the best.

Bottle at Peter’s 2nd annual spring gathering. Pours a clear caramel brown. Lightly tart sour funk. Plastic and vinyl, somewhat nutty. Sour-ish and very strange. Nutty and odd. Think something went awry.

Bottle at home. Pours a dark brown to very deep dark red color with a thick, very creamy tan head that laces massively. Aroma of burnt sugar, caramel, roasted malts and bready yeast. Flavor is somewhat spicy bread and yeast with a slightly bitter dry ashy powdery maltyness. A tiny bit alcoholic in the finish. Quite lively carbonation and a creamy texture. Strange brew yet quite nice.
