One of the nicer bocks, had this one @ De Wildeman in Amsterdam. Nice head, hints of liquorice, not too sweet.

Not a bad Doppelbock at all, highly amusing! Very nice and rich aroma with caramel and some dough. Very sweet beer.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A hazy dark amber beer with a dense, small, beige head. Caramel, some citrus peel, a milky touch and yeast on the nose. Sourish caramel flavor with coffee and yeast. Full-bodied, nicely carbonated and with an almost unpleasant citrusy touch. Lasting finish that I can’t really say I like. Sure, this isn’t the best doppelbock I’ve tasted. 110128
