MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jan 6, 2008 (bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a big and stable blond foamy head. Sweet and yeasty fruity aroma of ripe bananas, a touch of citrus, a light wheat-character and spicy phenols. Light sweet flavour with a sour-fruity tinge, medium to light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Moderately yeasty, wheat-malty taste with banana and an underlying, refreshing citrus note; dryish, slightly sweet and fruity finish with a well-integrated spicy touch. Jukkabro (2394), Tampere, Finland Sep 26, 2007 Dark yellow colored, strongly cloudy appearance. Vanishing white head. Rich banana aroma with yeast and spicy touch, sweet aroma. Medium bodied, somehow safty palate. Flavor is dryer, still nice and crispy with dominating banana and spices, only mild yeast here. Lemon and some sour tone in aftertaste with banana. Good brew. goozen (763), Leiden, Netherlands Jul 14, 2007 Bottle 0,5lltr at Stohrenkeller, Bamberg:
Yellow hazy Weizen with a lightly citric taste that will quench your thirst splendidly. pivnizub (3876), Porúří, Germany Jun 17, 2007 Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Cloudy golden, quickly collapsing white head; fruity nose: bananas, apricots, but mainly cloves with the faintest illusions of citrus fruits; moderate sweetish-tart flavour, a bit dryer than many weizen-beers, medium-bodied; yeasty and citrus-fruity finish, only a light sweetness detectable, becomes a bit tart in the aftertaste. A bit unusual, but a pleasant Weizen.........
