(Bottled@Waagstuk) Deep red with a large, lasting and lacy, tanned head. Caramely-roasty aroma with sweetish malt and a hint of alcohol. Slightly acidic and alcoholic flavor. Sweet and roasted-malty. Blackcurrant marmalade! Sweet-syrupy, low-carbonated, medium to full-bodied palate. A full, but quite sweet and slightly alcoholic brew. Warming and barley-wineous.

Bottle at ’t Waagstuk, Antwerp. I vaguely remember this beer as the night got a bit messy from here on out, although I do remember liking it. Mahogany with a thick beige head. Malt, dark fruits, liquorice and a hint of cocoa with that brunish earthy note. A great beer with lots going on.

Sampled in a cozy bar/resturant in Antwerp with pat. The bars specilaity. Dark burnt orangey red colour with an ample off brwon head. Aroma of soft berries poached in red wine, roasted malts, sugar an some autumn spiced pop-pourii. Caramel and golden malts dominate with layers of dried fruit and nutmeg/cinnamon. Good with my meal choice but nothing special.

Dark amber colour, cream head. Aroma of molasses, caramel, malts, light milk chocolate, light yeast. Flavour quite sweet, chocolate, malts, ripe figs. Finish sweet malts, dark chocolate and light toffee.
Rather sweet, quite rich. Not bad, though a bit too sweet for my palate.
