3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 10, 2013
2013-04-28. Crisp dark orange body small off white head. 3+ Aroma of orange citrus, muted resin. Flavour has a good amount of citrusy hops up front, moderate bitterness and sweetish base. Lingering light bitterness and orange hops. Smooth medium bodied palate, soft carbonation. Simple but pretty nice. Enjoyable. On tap at American Flatbread, Burlington
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 johnnnniee (1499) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 26, 2012
On tap at the source.
Pours a cloudy murky reddish amber color with a creamy off white head that provides maximum stickage to the glass. It doesn’t look great. Smells of citrus pine and resin with bits of apricot and tropical fruit. There might be some bready malt in there but its hard to tell. Taste is fruity hop goodness with citrus and pine flavors and little bits of bread every now and then. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Really nice double IPA that looks like shit but tastes like buttah.

On draft at brewery, pours a cloudy amber color, aromas of pine, hops and tropical fruit. Flavor has a touch of swetness, caramel, tropical fruit, and hoppy aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Glouglouburp (5568) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 11, 2011
In short: A very tasty full bodied, very hoppy, very bitter fruity golden IPA. A hophead delight
How: Tap at Benelux, Montreal, special Vermont night
The look: Cloudy amber body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Strong nose of fruity hops, fruity hops and then more fruity hops. Taste has a lot of semi-tasted honeyed and caramelized cereals, dried fruits, a lot of citrus fruits and tropical fruits, some hops resin. Bitterness level is in the medium-high range. There is sweetness in the attack but the hoppy finish washes it all away and the beer doesn’t feel sweet at all. A very good example of the style. That post-Mondial special Vermont event at Benelux was one of the busiest pub night I have ever seen in Montreal. If the art squeezing oneself in a crowded pub to get to the bar was considered a workout, I could teach classes.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 oteyj (2114) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 18, 2011
Amber pour with an off white head. The lots of citrus and evergreen pine notes lead to lemon and grapefruit with a decent bready malt background. Medium palate with average carbonation.

On Tap at Flatbread in Burlington. Copper pour with a medium sized dense head. Aroma and flavor are marked by pine, lemon grass, and a touch of white grapefruit. Really solid hop character with a touch of balancing caramel malt. Medium body, good carbonation, good stuff.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2011
My Bottom Line:
Oranges and resins blend into caramel malts in this muscular Double IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the misty amber.
-The mouthfeel is a tad heavier than what I like in the style.
-All flavors are luminous and harmonious. Maybe too much caramel, but that hop onslaught did need some back-up to avoid falling into exaggeration.
-The resinous bitterness was levelled with the rest of the brew’s high intensity.
-Although this was impeccable, I can’t say it was all that memorable within the style. A successful, textbook example
On tap at Benelux.
