Oct 10, 2007 on tap-pours a white head with a few bubbles and brown with orange color. Aroma is fruity, medium malt, rock candy. Taste is fruity, medium malt, rock candy. Nice, straight forward. OK carbonation.

Aug 5, 2007 Tap at the brewpub - cloudy brown with a lasting, off-white lace - aroma of carmelized brown sugar, plum and other dark fruits - light mustiness and candi sugar - medium-sweet, with brown sugar, dates, raisins, a hint of rum and a light alcohol warmth - I really enjoyed this one.

Jul 31, 2007 6 ounce draught sample at the Vermont Brewer’s Fest (July 2007). Hazy-dirty brown/mahogany with a bit of head....sweet, spicy, yeasty aroma, bananas and lots of caramel, a bit of cherry and a hint of smoke......lightly alcoholic/warming texture on the tongue, peppery, raisin-caramel dominates the flavor profile at the front, brown sugar taking over and gradually drying out....quite complex with notes of mint, tarragon and tart acidic blueberries showing up as I sip it, quite slowly. Very solid addition to an already stellar lineup.
