Brown color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of brown sugar, bread, toast, spices, light fruitiness, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of raisins, caramel, brown sugar, earthy yeast, spices, and a dry lightly alcoholic finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Organic French Farmhouse-style Ale. Brewed with buckwheat and Brettanomyces and aged for 6 months. A collaboration with Scott Martin (formerly of 3 Needs and Magic Hatt). 6.8%
In short: A moderately wild bronze ale with good drinkability
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear bronze-amber body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is nicely bretty, just pure wild character with slight leathery notes. Taste is starts with oily toasted bread crust, concentrate juice sweetness, cranberries, sweet grapes, hard-candies, juicy leafy hops, funk. The finish is both juicy and dry. Despite me not being able to list many flavor elements, I found the beer to be rather complex. Drinking a beer at this brewpub while eating their fantastic flatbread pizza makes me realize I could never be a porn actor, I love pizza too much, I’m sure I’d start eating the pizza instead of having sex with the woman I’m delivering it to.
