jmm635 (30), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 Very light in color and body for a dunkel. Surprisingly, it did have a traditional dunkel flavor. josarah (53), Hinesburg, Vermont, USA Apr 21, 2008 Draft, light amber dunkel that taste bolder than its color. Sweet and nutty with the right amount of carbonation. Very drinkable and clean. (Rating #1630) Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 26, 2005 Cloudy orange shade wears a light white, fully regular cover. Sweet nose is both perfumey and malty thus procuring maple biscuit, vanilla and various dark fruits. In a way, it smells darker than it looks, bearing a gentle underlying roastiness and finishing nutty for an overall preferable balance in mouth than the nose hinted at. Well toasted and intensely fruity all along. Crisp, nice big carbonation complements the medium body, surprisingly big-sized thanks to plenty of residual sugars. tiggmtl (4157), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 22, 2005 Mild sweet vanilla and herbal notes in the bready, malt forward aroma. Clear deep amber copper coloured body topped by a low off white head that recedes to a partial cover and ring. Grainy flavour offers citrus and herbal hops, dark fruits, cookie dough and a fair finishing bitterness. Medium light body with moderate, fine bubbled lively effervescence that is engaging in the mouth. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, muzzlehatch, Rastacouere and Yowie.
