Aroma: Fruity, slightly sour notes above. Light malty touches. Not as clan it could be 6-
Clean, fairly smooth bodied, medium full body. Malty – fruity personality. Soft and silky but it slightly sour notes made this Bock slightly unclean feel.
CapFlu (3339), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 17, 2005 (Draught) Sampled at the brewpub in Burlington, VT. Pours a creamy, thin white head with a clear golden body. Nose is lactic. Smooth flavour with mild hops and yeast. Finish is very smooth with a bitter hoppy finish. Very good! Flavor is malty/caramel with flowery hops. Some alcohol aftertaste, unfortunately. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jul 19, 2005 Draught pint at the brewpub; this was listed as "Helles Bock" at the VT Brewers’ Fest and "Summer Bock" at ther restaurant. Very light blonde with a hint of haze, smallish decaying head....flowery, caramel/honey aroma, hints of light smoke, enticing....body lightly perfumy, very sweet, full-bodied and fairly quaffable at least until too-strong alcohol notes set in. Bit sticky at midpalate and after.
