Draft, delicate white head, lemon fragrance, clear golden tint. Refreshing describes this well. Complex, but lightly so. A perfect Kolsch.

on tap-pours a retaining thin white head that laces. Aroma is musty grain, lemon, (saaz)hops. Taste is musty grain, lemon, (saaz)hops-some spicy. OK effervescence. Dead on for style. Occasional.

Tap at the brewpub - clear golden with a fiery orange tint to it - spicy hop aroma, with grassy notes and touches of dried herbs - refreshing and crisp, with a light buttery flavor, touches of wildflowers and honey, and a strong european hop bite - a complex and refreshing kolsch.

Draught sample at the brewpub, December 30th 2006. Pours a clear, rather oily gold with just a bit of head and lacing....nicely malty, lightly pungent, smelly-grassy aroma, light noble hops growing stronger with some warmth....crisp, full body, light Munich malt character, a bit mineralic and bitter to finish....as it warms, floral hints create a bit more interest, lavender and aloe most noticeable....really nicely done, very quaffable rendition.
