In short: A very clean, toasted golden lager, straightforward and refreshing thirst beer. Good.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear golden-copper body topped by a tiny beige ring of foam.
In long: Nose is lightly toasted, herbal hops and light caramel notes. Taste is much of the same, very straightforward, extremely clean, crisp toasted cereals, notes of fresh tasty bakery caramel, light juicy notes of fresh fruits, just enough herbal hops to balance everything. Very refreshing, more refreshing than this type of toasted beer usually is. A nice thirst toasted lager. Might be because I was drinking the excellent Jack’s Abby Jabby Brau 48h before but I thought this Leidenschaft was good but not very good. The beer is good at Zero Gravity but their Flatbread is even better, I like eating this brewpub or other places that promote local organic ingredients because I find food tastes better when prepared by an unsuccessful guitar player.

Pint shared two ways.
Appearance : Clear amber with small creamy head. Some lacing.
Aroma : Nice clean malt wit nice hops. Bready malt with caramel.
Taste : Malty and bready with light caramel and light toffee. Malty finish with hops ans light caramel. Persistent caramel notes. Light citrusy notes.
Overall : Great maltiness, very tasty and rich. Elegant and quite drinkable. Quite complex with a solid bready malt backbone while being quaffable. Pretty solid.

My Bottom Line :
This lean lager shares toasted and lightly caramelized malt flavors on top of herbal hops for a polished example.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slice of foam tops the bronzed amber.
-Base malt flavors add bready connotations.
-This is very drinkable.
-These guys really do smashing lagers.

On tap at the brewpub.

on tap at brewpub. copper-red, very nice off-white head, retention, strong lacing. toasted malts, oranges, bananas, spices, light to medium herbal-citrusy hopping. soft carbonation, medium body, medium long grassy-peppery finish. very nice.
