English Ordinary Bitter
Maltier and less bitter than an American pale ale, this true session ale is all about balance. Number of these you need to drink before wanting to smash your Fender into the ground ≥ 9. 9.8°

Tap at BT. Pours a mostly clear dull copper amber with a thinning head to nothing. Aroma is a bit weak- some grassy notes, tea, light caramel malts,, slight burnt toast and light fruity ester. Flavor is light caramel, slight burnt toasted malts, grass, herbs, tea, - needs more bitter or mineral, or different water- seemed a bit thin to me even at the 3.7% abv. Still - no flaws I guess. Ok.

A reddish amber ale with a thin lacing white head. Aroma of British hops and teabag. In mouth, a watery caramel malt with faint hops. Again, rather boring. On tap at brewpub, July 12 2010

On tap at American Flatbread’s Beer Loves Cheese 2010
Appearance : Hazy amber
Aroma : Lots of tea, lots of malt and a bit fruity. Very grainy.
Taste : Lots of tea, light bitterness. Quite malty with a bit of fruits. Grainy.
Overall : Wow this was very interesting. Probably the best low alcohol beer I’ve had. Soo drinkable and refreshing. Could drink this all day.

Tried on Beer Quest 2010 with all the guys. This was number 23. Pour is a clear gold. No head. Aroma is hops and grass. Well balanced flavors which are similar to the aroma. Smooth to drink but not great flavors.

Cask (gravity) at NERAX North, Haverhill MA, 7 November 2009 @ 3.5%, as American Flatbread London Calling. Pale gold. Not much condition. Light citrus aroma. Quite grassy and herbaceous. Soft on the palate. Very light bitterness. More grassy hop. Light mouthfeel. Not much aftertaste. Pleasant easy drinking session bitter. Does what it does pretty well.

Draft at the brewpub - Poured a golden amber in color with a small foamy white head. Aroma is earthy and slightly sour with grassy hops. Some small lacing on the glass. Flavor was fairly bitter, but with the flavor of some maltiness mixed in. Bitter on the finish. Enjoyable.
