3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
NOTF 2010. Pale golden pour. The nose is lightly fruity with a little bit of soft oakiness. A touch of fruitiness along with some light spice. Moderate oak on the back. As it warms a bit a distinct cherry flavour pops up as well as a touch of light astringency. Fairly flinty character - it’s starting to taste like a bit of brett got in there - even though it hasn’t done very much yet. Okay.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at American Flatbread. Pours a hazed deep golden with a thinning cloudy white head. Aroma is definite funky brett, horsey earthy funk mixed with tropical fruitiness mixing with slight citrus notes- pineapple comes out as it warms- some leathery spicy and pepper notes as well. Flavor is cracker, dried biscuity malts, toast, slight horse funk, barnyard, mineral, leather, citrus and pineapple tropical kick. Strange and a bit messy but still enjoyable since nothing was too overwhelming. Had this back in August 2010.
