4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (6945) - London, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2013
Keg at the brewpub, London. Pours clear gold wtih a fine, white cream head. Realy doughy stuff, plenty of white bread in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with crispy pale malts, dough, straw, very light grassy bitter bite, mellow grains. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Crisp finish, some light dry hay and grains, pale bready sugars. Excellent, simple, super drinkable pils.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Desverger (412) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2013
Keg@Blackheath, SE London - Gold pour with a medium white head. Citrus hop mix with sweetish biscuit malt character. Have had this a few times through the years and I swear the recipe has changed/been tweaked over time but on recent tasting/rating better than I remember. Pretty good overall.

Zerodegrees, Cardiff. Limp appearance; served brilliant but without any suggestion of a head like a pint of lime cordial- not good enough. Fine green hop aroma oozing cut grass, thistle and honey. Tastes like licking a shed; pine sap and sticky gold resins; thistle, jammy apricot hints. Good finishing bite of bitterness with biscuit and vanilla afters, a sprinkle of lemon sherbet. Good clean hop profile. Mixed impressions- both of the beer and the place.
