A - pours dark brown, almost black beer with a medium beige soapy head that quickly dissipates. Virtually no lacing.
S - nose of roasted malts, caramel, toffee, dark chocolate. Some floral notes in the back.
T - as the nose it tastes of roasted malts, caramel and toffee. There's a hint of bittersweet finish.
O - overall quite a nice surprise given it's price, very easy to drink and delicious.

A malty and sweet aroma. The small beige fizzy head disappears fast, the body is black. A malty taste, some chocolate and licorice, quite sweet. The body is light, a little bit creamy with a flat carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
beautiful appearance of ruby-mahogany colour and one inch dense beige head; aroma of toasted rye bread, some milk chocolate notes, hints of dried plum and roasted nuts; taste is the same; well, much-much better than I expected -would be a perfect choiche if it was not 1.7 EUR in Hungary.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
The color of the beer - brown, when you look at the light - streaked with shades of mahogany. Froth beige. Aroma mostly pronounced malt, with characteristic karamelistostyu, zhzhёnkoy light, dark tones of bread and fruit. The body is medium-full, but very soft and really velvet. The taste is very balanced with firm bitterness. Mnogosolodovost unique flavor and complexity. Then there are caramel and chocolate, and fruit, as well as the grain component of rye malt. Bitterness felt slightly burnt bread crust. This crust is still a long aftertaste with light nepritornoy sweetness.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours clear dark red with small head. Aroma is very caramel and sugar like, a bit of roasted bread. Taste contains some burned sugar, bread, cookies, malt. Has slight bitterness, but sugar taste overrules it. A lot of carbo, that kills delight. Not awful, drinkable.

Some place in Kyiv: pours clear brown with little head. Looks like kvass. Aroma is light roast and caramel. Taste is actually better than the taste. Some roast and toasted malts. Really not bad.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2016 Bottle from a Russian supermarket in Ghent. Creamy, very dense and thickly lacing, moussy, very stable, yellowish beige head over a clear, very dark burgundy coloured beer with deep cherry red hue, finely sparkling and actually beautiful to look at. Simple sweet malt aroma, mostly caramel, clear presence of iron, hints of grass, hazelnuts and chocolate powder. Sweet, straightforward caramel taste, thin, lightly oily body with medium carbo (less strong than expected based on the looks), clearly metallic, finishing in the same caramel maltiness but with a light grassy hop accent somewhere in the background as well as a very light roasted (coffee) touch. Simple, but a pretty sight and still fairly enjoyable in view of its style; the back label said ’Schwarzbier’ somewhere, and indeed it has a lot in common with Czech cerne, the Bohemian equivalent to it, though it would need some more roasted bitterness to fully classify as one.
