Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Fruity nose with a whiff of butter. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Pears and butter, spritzy, fruity and rather firm. Low bitterness. Decent, if sweet, commercial lager.

0.33L bottle picked up @Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. A finger of dense, snowy white foam. Body is brilliant pale gold. Sweet wort-like aroma. A minimum of hops included. Taste is sugary sweet grainy malts. Very low bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel. Sugar finish. Not good.

Finn fem fel? Ja, några rätt prickar Zhiguli inte in i alla fall. Om det är möjligt att framställa ren menlöshet och sedan buteljera den är det så här den skulle smaka.

Bottled from Systembolaget Pale golden with a very brief head. Sweet, malty, bready aroma along with some medicine-notes. Pretty sweet in flavour, though still refreshing. Caramelle and butterscotch; a bit liked burnt mash. Low bitterness.

Bottle. Obviously not a a best in class lager, but fairly decent - I was pleasantly surprised (maybe because my expectations were incredibly low). Pours a clear amber with a very small off-white head. The beer has a high wort level and this comes through in the aroma. Lots of bready malt, a hint of caramel and slightly earthy yeast. Pleasant so far. Taste is also clearly influenced by the wort - there’s a malty sweetness that’s balanced with a medium bitter finish. Body is a bit light, but not uncommon for the style. Fairly low carbonation as well, which I personally prefer.
