1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Brown with notes of amber, head was about two fingers and dissipated quickly into a lightly tan sheen, leaving some lace.
Aroma is caramel malts, somewhat sweet, and a little grainy.
Taste is primarily caramel malt and lightly grainy malts, with a touch of (perhaps) brown sugar, with some quantity of balancing hops that I would deem "not enough."
Feel is pretty watery with a slightly cardboard-ish caramel malt lingering aftertaste. Carbonation is pretty low and allows the thin body to have a slightly slick quality, probably from the over-abundance of caramel malt.
Itís a typical inbev pseudo-craft beer, in that it looks like craft beer when itís on the shelf, and is priced like craft beer, and you might think youíre getting craft beer when you buy it, but thatís about it. This beer does not stand out in any way, but manages to shine in the "meh" department. Itís nothing like the finely crafted artisan ales that real craft breweries make. This beer lacks flavor, aroma, and body, but it excels in blandness.
I donít know where this "hop finish" mentioned in the commercial description comes from, but I canít taste it. And where the "roasted malts" are, Iím not sure of that either, unless they just added barely enough roasted malts to get the color change they wanted. Caramel malt, now that I can taste in abundance; itís the main flavor.
I know this beer has been around for a while, but donít know if itís changed over the years. However, it needs to change if it wants to reach the "good" category in my book. Perhaps they wanted to impress bud light drinkers, and if so, more power to ya. But a craft beer this is not. Itís a mass produced watery alcoholic beverage with just enough beer-like ingredients where it can still be classified as beer.
BTW, Iím not just hating on inbev for the sake of it. If they were to make a good beer, I would rate it well. This just isnít a good beer tho.

Thin, light head, and a whisp of a malty aroma. An amber color that is full of bubbles, reminding me of root beer. Why does Anheuser Busch insist on these attempts at craft beers? They all taste like Budweiser.

At the skybox bar at dfw airport. So so aroma, sweet. Bready, caramel. Clean brownish orange. No head or lace. Sweet flavor. Light body smooth mouthfeel, crisp bitter finish that faded quickly. Very forgetable, Iím for forgetting it already.

Draught at the Houston airport. Pours a dark brown color with almost no head on it. Feels light and fizzy. Tastes a little malty, yet nondescript. Not very good.

(on draft). My selection with Tex-Mex cuisine while visiting Plano, TX. Smooth, mild and easy to drink. This goes well with local favorites.
