Thanks to Smeagol who carted this home from Texas for me. Could have picked something better though. First thing that stood out about this beer is the strange color. Looks unnatural to me. Kind of a dark orange/brown. I am sure that the color was not generated naturally. Thin had with ok carbonation. Sweet malty aroma with a hint of cat urine (nice). Flavor has a hint of roastyness to it. Mostly malt and a little chalky. Maybe a little bit of nuts also. Kind of chewy aftertaste that makes you slosh your tongue around for a while. An ok beer for ABC but not for any self respecting beer producer.

Small head. Faint sweet aroma. Fizzy and a little fruity. No hops, some nutty flavors.

Metallic, slightly nutty, slightly toasty. Pretty much a Shiner Bock twin.

Found this at some hole-in-the-wall grocery store in Fort Worth. It's kind of like Shiner Bock, but a lot more bland and adjunct-ish. Better than most A-B efforts.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Possibly the best beer that Anheuser-Busch makes. A dark color. It is smooth, but it has very little head, even from the tap. A slight taste of hops.

hmm, AB trying to make a "micro" brew here. Smelled and tasted like stale cardboard made into malt! I still had to try it since i was in Texas this weekend.

Half-decent, but nothing mind-blowing. Virtually no head, much like my married life. Very smooth finish with a hint of caramel. Really, it tastes like a darker version of the mass-produced American Standards. Cool bottle though.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nothing incredibly special about this beer. Nice deep amber color, not much head or lacing. A little hoppy but very little body in this beer. Not much to it. This beer has nothing on Shiner. Too thin and watery.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
800 beers and no end in sight. This beer is a light amber color with a medium thin off-white head that disappeared quickly. Thin and quick lacing. The aroma is faint sweet malt. Kind of thin with a light hops and honey-nutty flavor. The finish is lightly sweet with a hint of hops bitterness. This isn't a terrible beer, it just doesn't pack much punch.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Easily the best beer that AB brews hands down. Not quite as pronouced as the Shiner Bock counterpart it competes with, but the overall taste and body of this beer makes for a very tasty brew.
