Former bestseller is back! Light quality beer made in retro spirits. Memories from decades back in new fresh light. Žiguli is perceived as a nostalgic product, but the beer itself is contemporarly with high quality and pleases even the most demanding beer friend’s senses. Original Estonian barley beer - made from Estonian barley and malt.

Pretty nasty blend of metal, some ale-y hops, and weird adjunct undertones. Not good, even for an Estonian PL

500 ml bottle. BB 21/09/2014. (Maksimarket) Laagri, Estonia.
Cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Sweetness, slightly dark bready malt and some yeasty notes in the aroma. The flavour is bready malt, mild cardboard and mild bitterness. Not the worst lager but nothing to be excited about.

.5l bottle from Rimi Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma is grass, hay, malts, feed. Flavor is stingy. Alcohol, hay and grass. Herbs. Terrible beer!

500ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Chalk white head, golden body, poor lacing. Mild and sweet pale malty nose. Sweet tasting notes of grain, meat and vegetables. Dry ending with fruity notes. Not much, but drinkable (Tromsø 06.11.2013)

0,5L bottle, bought at MaximaXXX Pärnu primo October. Scents of sweet malts. Fluffy white head, stands a while. Straw golden body. Sweet malty taste, fruity, smoked leather sole. Easy on palate, a bit watery, okay bodied. Overall average. MidWeekRateMeetWithRune 2013-nov-6.

0.5L bottle. Strong, cheese hop and grain aroma. Sticky, sweet, musty. Hops are stronger than usual pilsener or pale lager beers. Oldschool soviet time beer.

From The Archives: Once again - when introduced - interesting brew. What is available now (summer 13) is again waste of money. Makes me want to cry.

50cl bottle from Stockmann Tallinn. Pours clear, pale golden with a white, bubbly head. Malty and grainy aroma with hints of cooked vegetables. Surprisingly grainy flavour. Sweet without much bitterness, but I like the flavour. Hints of metal in the finish. Not so interesting, but still quite drinkable. (2012-11-17)

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 27.12.2012. Thanks Tuulia!
Aroma is rather malty with wet paper, some grain, corn and potatoes. Flavour is somewhat malty with grain, wet paper and potatoes. Dry finish, some hops and hints of alcohol in the aftertaste. This feels a bit like some alcohol‐free lagers. Not good, the only reason to try is the history behind this beer.

500 ml bottle. Thanks Tuulia.
Pours a clear golden colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of wet paper, earth, grass and some glue-like elements. Flavour of pale malts, wet paper, glue, grass and some stuffy bready notes. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a weird papery, malty and dryish finish. Not good.
