Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color. It has a light aroma, some malt; but, rare in this part of Germany, it’s well bitter, with a good Hallertau-like hop. Good.

Frisch herber, zunehmend getreidiger Beginn mit geringer Bitterkeit. Süffig, angenehme Herbe, die auch im Abgang lange erkennbar ist. Trocken, einfach, ok. 8/10/9/9//9

This place is really worth seaking out. I enjoyed this glorious brew a sunny afternoon with a traditional butcher’s plate with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, varieties of smoked pork, Weißwurst, Leberwurst and Blutwurst. Hazy golden/orange coloured with a creamy white head. Very pleasant hoppy aroma. The flavour is extremely fresh with a great amount of hoppiness. Notes of fruits and flowers. Lingering bitter finish. They also make a nice Bierbitter.

The prototypical German helles from a superb brewpub in the countryside near Bitburg-Spangdahlem Air Base. Superb heady pour on active golden beer. Classic malt beer, goes perfectly with the German fare.

Very nice color which was amber with white head. Just an ordinary pils with no special bonuses.

Draught at the brauhaus. My favourite of the 3 beers I tried here. Very pleasant hazy goulden colour with a solid white head. Gentle hops in the aroma and the flavour was nice hops and bitterness in the finish.

The best offering at Zils. This is a nice light-bodied beer with a nice hop presence and clean finish. I crave this beer it is so refreshing. Not outstanding but well above the bottom of the barrel.

On tap at the brewpub. This beer has some very mixed reviews which leads me to believe that the brewer is changing the brewing process for perfection. My batch seemed in the middle of the ratings. Poured a clear but hazy yellow, with a soft white head. Aroma is strong hops, malt and very crisp. Taste is a fresh slightly bitter and dty Pils. Palate is very dry

On tap. Had a slight golden colored appearance with a frothy white head. Not much aroma, possibly a little hoppy. It wasn’t too bad. We also bought a 5ltr keg to finish the evening off.

Had this before dinner at Zils. Light cloudy yellow body with a huge head. Great lacing. Smell was not as good. I got hay and boiled vegetables. Taste was ok but the smell was hard to get by for me. Was clean and crisp with well balanced hops and malt. Not my favorite.
