Medium body, a little low in carbonation. Notes of sweet fruit and caramel and a somewhat astringent, herbal and very bitter finish. 120108

Dec 25, 2007 33 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours copper brown with a lacing off-white head. Caramel malty aroma with a vague spice note. Flavour is mild sweet with an acidic note and a nice yeasty flavour. Ends lingering yeasty, lovely.

Dec 19, 2007 bottled@Kerstbierfestival, Essen. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, slightly hoppy and also spicy. Flavour is malty, caramelly slightly hoppy and yeasty. Wellbalanced.

Feb 17, 2008 Bottle @ Front Door: Dark cherry color, light head, usual carbonation and a touch of nice lacing. The nose is spicy with a blend of yeast esters, light banana, fruity caramel and a earthy hop note that really livens it up. Sweet yeasty flavor with some pepper and coriander notes. Easy enough drinking Belgian ale with some interesting bits to chew on and quaff.

Dec 10, 2007 11.2oz bottle. Poured a medium brownish / orangish color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, grains, yeasty, earthy, stale christmas tree, and spices. Tastes of peppery spiciness, herbal hops, caramel, and toasted malts.
