Red-brown colored beer. Very complex fruity aroma, floral, coriander. Malty bitter flavor with some caramel and bread. Nice dry bitter aftertaste.

11.2oz bottle. Doesn’t seem to have a date on it. Hazy darker red color. Good one-finger foamy off-white head. Few bits of lace. Mildly fruity / candy nose. Very soft, smooth carbonation, with a light body and dry texture. Some dark fruit, spice, and licorice flavors. Some kind of weird incense, dusty or ashy aspect to it. Like an old Belgian gentleman’s coat closet. A lot less easy to drink than I was hoping for.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy dark brown coloured brew with an taste of roasted malts, dark fruits and caramel. Nice brew from Brussels.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours hazy brown with a big off-white head and an aroma of toffee, sweet malts, yeast, fresh hops, fresh green fruits and herbs. The taste is mainly dominated by the hoppy bitterness, sweetness, alcohol and yeast are far more in the background. A nice winter beer.

Thanks Joris! Dark beer, thick light beige head. Aroma of spices and caramel malts. Taste is slightly roasted malts, some hops bitterness, spices, yeast. Rather dry. Nice body and carbo.

Bottle at the Essen Christmas Beer Festival. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a red hue and a thin tan head. The aroma is weak but yeasty and you can smell the alcohol. The flavour is medium bitter with roasted malt and some spice. The alcohol is very present but doesn't dominate. There is some alcohol induced bitterness in the aftertaste.

Sample at the Essen Xmas beer festival. Thick white head. Clear burgundy pour. Nice enough brew.

Version 2012 Ambrée presque noire. Nez légèrement fruité, un petit peu alcool Un debut de bouche frais, l’amertume prenant le pas après. Fort sur le grain torrefié. Un arôme café persistant en bouche. Note caramel, réglisse en début de bouche.

Nice chocolate malty aroma. Strong head. Likewise taste with a balanced bitterness to boot. Tiny bubbels.

Bottle (33 cl) from beerplanet.be. Clear mahogny to chestnut with medium beige head. Nutty and slightly toasted aroma with some spicy phenolics and herbal hops. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi dry with medium bitterness.
