Bottle of the 2014, from Dranken Pauwels. Slightly hazy reddish chestnut brown with an off white head. Nose is bit of yeast extract, slight oxidization, toasted malt, earthy, grassy hop, straw, toast, red fruit. Marmite yeast extract is dominating a bit. Taste is quite hoppy, grassy, pine, with lots of toasted malt and yeast extract. On the finish I’m getting some fruit coming through. Bit of red berry fruit, maybe dried apricot and then slight pine and menthol. It’s got quite a tang to it.

330ml bottle (2014 vintage). Hazy chestnut color. Huge size, thick yellow head, stays forever. Raisins, malty, grainy, tiny bit of alcohol in aroma. Sweet malts, grassy hops in taste. Simple beer, but so delicious. I like it.

330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
A stunner! Dark, and such a beautiful spongy head, persistent. Super mellow aroma. Soft roast, gentle sweetness, some gentle christmassy spiciness, but nothing you’d highlight. Full and pleasant. Very pleasant sweetish malty body, some candisugar here. So super mellow. No wow, but a nice little sipper. No alcohol detected.

Draught. Pours a hazy brownish red with an initially dense, mostly fading, foamy-bubbly light beige head. Aroma of red fruits, wood, caramel, orange, pine. Taste is of warm spices, blood orange, pine. Smooth light mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Hazy, dark chestnut brown. Airy light beige head. Caramely, hoppy aroma with yeasty spice and notes of licorice. Flavour has malt and bittersweet fruityness. Orange peel and light spice. Alcohol seems unbalanced.

bottle @ home clear copper, cappuccino head raisins, hops, milk chocolate, licorice, balsamic, spices, toffee almost oily, quite peculiar. Herbaceous smoked bitterness. Malty and caramel aftertaste, nuts and walnuts, light licorice. Leaves a long bitter herbaceous aftertaste.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2016 From cervezas especiales. In Teku glass. Mounting kids presents the night of the Magic Kings. 2014 edition. Small sourness that slightly ruins what could be a superb brew. In any case, its still enjoyable

Dark copper beer, thick off-white head. Nose is belgian yeast, candi sugar, malt, caramel and hops. Flavor is a somewhat toasty BSA, but it’s surprisingly bitter. Smooth palate, pretty drinkable.
