3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at GBD in Washington. Poured a light hazy amber copper color with a large white head. Aroma was sweet toffee, some spices, earthy notes. Flavor was earthy hops, caramel sweetness is in there. Tasty.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled, 330ml at The Craven Arms, Birmingham. Dark brown with off white head. I thought that there was quite a harsh, fizzed flavour to this, metallic and tinny in character. The fruitiness emerges later but the palate had taken a bashing early on. Not sure.

DAA; Pours hazy cobber with medium lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramell, fruity and yeasty. Flavour is much the same -adding alchole. Medium body, spritzy with a bity alchole, bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brown black, off white head. dried fruits, raisins, malt, ’rye bread’, some spices in the back. Taste is sweet but also dry, soft, even a creamy palate. very well balanced. This is a very drinkable, enjoyable winterbeer with only 7.8%, no alcohol bomb. Although nose is fine and agreable, there is still something I do not like but hard to define.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 25 Oct 2013) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, apricots and rye bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, raisins, orange peel and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and warming winter beer. Quite nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

From tap at moeder lambic fontainas. Pours hazy copper to brown with firm white head. Aroma is yeast, spicy, malt, slightly sour. Taste is medium sweet, slightly sour, medium bitter, alcohol spiceness. For a Xmas beer quite bitter which makes it rather unique. Full bodied and quite heavy.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Real bready, bitter style Ale with a slight sweetness. I thought of this to be a bit on the more earthy side of things with huge bitterness throughout, some spice and a little barnyard funk.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Usually, these Christmas beers are way too sweet. But this one has a nice dry bitterness to balance all the sugars. Nice.

2012 Bottle from ABS Drinks. Dark brown with orange and a fine, low head. Spicy chocolate nose, cinnamon? Speculoos, biscuit, caramel. Rich, cake-like. Earthy, dry flavor, chocolate and spice, Chirstmas feeling but not so sweet, figs, plums. Dry, bitter finish. Good.
