Geruch malzig fruchtig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack sehr malzig getreidig, fruchtig, leicht alkoholisch.

bottle from Merkur Wien-Hütteldorf. Clear golden colour, creamy white head. Full-bodied, good malty flavours with a surprisingly good aromatic hoppy touch, grassy, slightly resiny with a touch of citrus fruit.

Thanks to quack-duck for that bottle. Looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass very zippy, nice head. Starts strong, fine malty, modest dry. Modest bitter background. Spicy-malty finish. Quite drinkable. Good bock!

Bottle( kindly excavated by Stefan!) : Golden, quite clear, medium-sized and stable white creamy head, honeyish and strawy nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and pretty soft; well hidden alcohol in the drier hoppy and pale-malty finish. Nice, well balanced Bock…

Bottle, best before 09.2011. Nose is very grassy, light malt sweetness and grain. Pours clear golden with a quickly-vanished head. Looks like apple juice. Taste is surprisingly dry, has some slick Champagne notes in with yeast and malt. Just the fainest hint of fruit, leaning toward apple. Crispness that lingers along with characteristic lager notes (i.e., stale air that has been smoothed over). Aftertaste is dry and chalky. Full-bodied and carries a certain sledge-hammer attitude along with its humbler industrial origins. Not a bock for me to repeat, but as a wise man often said, "It’ll getcha drunk!" From 31 May 2011.

Test vom 14.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,12,8,9,11,10
