660ml Bottle. Pale colour, medium carbonation. Hoppy but not very bitter - highly refreshing. One of the better lagers I have tasted.

light, almost fruity flavor, "hoppy" but not bitter, more of al pils than the zipfer pils...ideal summer beer

I guess every country’s got their ’Heineken-style beer’, this is Austria’s.

Flat beer in appearence but freshing enough for a hot summers day. The aroma provides peaches mixed with hops.

The Etruscan (544) - Tuscany, ITALY - MAY 22, 2002
Golden slighly pale color. White fast-vanishing head. Nice aroma, hoppy with flowers and herbal notes. Flavour is well balanced ending in a not very long bitter aftertaste. Medium-light bodied.

rauchbier (3633) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2002
Hoppy aroma, no head. reasonably well balanced malt and hops in the mouth but aftertaste becomes a little unbalanced with a sugary sweetness lingering.

Aroma is of hops as is the flavour which is relatively light. Just a servicable lager but as an import it’s a bit expensive.

I loved the ’hoppy’ pilsner taste--very different from the other ’hoppy’ beers such as Urquell, but fresh and having some character. Much better than a lot of the more bland beers that pass themselves off as pilsners. Bit of a strange aftertaste, but I liked it nonetheless.

nothing special, doesn’t taste much, and it has a bit of a chemical taste aswell, easy to drink though.

Nothing is better on a hot summerday in the Austrian Alps
