3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Looks and smells rather boring, but it has a playful, fruity sourness in it that gives me associations to apples, grapes and maybe some lettuce. Although this was a positive surprise, it is still not much to write home about.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
0,5l bottle. Classic austrian beer. Not the best, but good enough for the little thurst in between.

I loved this one years ago. I think Zipfer Urtyp changed with time. Now it’s more watery and has less hops flavor. Got a little bit grassy too.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Popular Austrian lager, with a thick, snow white, creamy head and pure light golden blonde colour, clear with calm sparkling. Neutral but genuinely pale malty aroma, some vague sweetishness, hint of iron and weak floral hops. Slick, even somewhat oily mouthfeel, straightforward and somewhat thin, soft carbonation, a bit watery, vague and brief floral hoppiness in the end. Simplistic but clean and pure.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fluffy österreichischhhhhh white head, clear straw golden body, a couple of lacings. Dusty industrial aroma with grass and berry’ish malts. Tastes grass, grains, fermented apple, musty malts. Normal on palate. Finishes lighter than start, more on the bread side, some disturbing alcoholic notes, but also a few hops. Drinkable. [50cl can 5.4%abv BB01.2015]

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml can labelled as 'Zipfer Original'. Grassy, grainy aroma. I think this is the first Austrian beer I have ever tasted, seems pretty anonymous to me, although it isn't a bad beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2014 Draught. Clear, yellow to gold body, with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of grains, flowers, herbs. Taste is dry, bitter, with herbs, grains and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium to light, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry and slightly metallic. Typical, boring Lager, but there are even worse. At least not as sweet and thin as many others, but still far from tasty.
