Not so bad for an Oktoberfest-like festival.

Can 0,5ltr bought it in Austria: Same as the medium but heavier in alcohol and eventually stronger in taste.

The last from my dad’s beer from around the world series. Pours a light yellow. Kind of bland and unexciting, but ultimately a fairly crisp and refreshing German Pale lager. Wouldn’t excite anyone but is definitely drinkable when it comes down to it. This beer is without a doubt better than no beer.

(Bottle from Bootleggers) Pours mostly clear golden with a few fingers of white head. Aroma of honey and bread. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, lightly prickly, about as much meatiness as you will ever get in this style. Light, wispy, droopy rings of lacing. Flavor of honey and bread with a light hoppy bitter bite in the finish. Tasty, no off-putting flavors.

Bottled. Poured clear, straw golden with a short-lived white head. The aroma picked up honey and toasted grains, with light earth and lemony accents. The flavor found pale malts and honey at the core with prickly carbonation and lemon zest around.. finished dry and refreshing. Light-bodied and crisp on the palate.. nice flow to it.. good for the style.

500ml can, thanks to Stu who salvaged this for me on his recent trip to Vienna. Has that reassuring pale lager sweetness I remember from my times touring Europe. Not had a canned beer for a while and, wierdly, although this isn’t the best beer in the world I actually kinda like it for those great memories drinking average lager like this at 2am on the streets of unfamiliar cities before a long drive the next day. For that I say cheers!
