3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear copper pour with a 1 finger beige head. Aroma of caramel, bready, toast, light fruity esters and spicy and planty hops. Flavor is nutty and lightly roasty up front, then some caramel, crusty bread, cereal, some fruity, floral and herbal hops and a light minerality to the finish. Light body, creamy, to slightly syrupy entry, medium carbonation and dry finish. Solid brew overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottled on May 29, 2015 from that smoke shop in McCook. Pours a slightly hazy dark copper with a ring of a white head. While this is not a hop-forward beer, this is hoppier than I anticipated. A little citrus and cedar come out in the aroma to balance the nutty and subtly chocolatey malts. The palate is medium and exhibits good attenuation. I’m not crazy about alts, but this is pretty nice. Woody hops peek out over a good malt base of toffee, chocolate, brown sugar and nuts. Esters are low. This is a very well put-together beer. I’ve only had two beers from Zip Line and they’ve both shown evidence these guys know what they’re doing. Thanks for making an alt that I actually like.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark reddish pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, bread, hints of red fruits, slight nutty notes into a bit of spice, slight earthy notes into a bit of vanilla. Taste was a mix of chocolate, caramel, toffee, vanilla, hints of nutty notes into a bit of spice, finishing fairly sweet, slightly spicy.
