Bottle at home. Clear deep golden pour, huge white head. Aroma is spicy and with typical German yeast. Flavor is slightly bitter, somewhat malty sweet and a bit watery. Decent balance and clean brew. Bit boring.

Test vom 24.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche

500 mL bottle from Beers of Europe in a mixed pack. An amber beer with a typical German persistant but inconsistent head. Maybe thats Rheineheitsgebot for you. Smells of bock, acidic and also quite rich. Tastes not unlike an English ale, but is smooth, slightly bitter and has a hint of sweetness. A nice beer, but a so-so beer.

Pours a coppery honey color. Small white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves no lacing behind. Smells of tea. Tea and malt. Tastes like watered down malt, but decent. Sweet and dry. Sweet mouthfeel with some astringency left behind. Decent sessionable beer. I like it.

Bottle 50cl, a clear amber beer with medium head. Nose is on caramel malt. Aroma is medium sweet with nice caramel and brown malt notes, medium to low hops character. This beer is more a dunkel kind of beer, nice but less intersting than the kellerbier ones which is more smooth and perfumed.

Koelschtrinker (12187) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 4, 2011
Test vom 15.2.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,7,11,6,6,7

UPDATED: APR 22, 2011 Pretty much in the helles/landbier style it has a beautiful amber/gold gradient color. Not something super amazing, but drinkable and tasty.

Very nice dark, malty color. A little watery. However, a drinkable beer with a pleasant hint of bitterness

bottle from Landbierdealer. Clear deep golen colour with a chestnut touch, large white head. Rather light-bodied, malty, shy hints of caramel, shy underlying acidity (not in a negative way) that adds a wild character. Very mild, nevertheless quite nise.
