Panzerfaust (374), Santiago, Chile Jan 13, 2008 Pours a deep dark brown color. Head is medium, off-white and creamy. It diminishes slowly and leaves a nice lacing.
Aroma is malty, toasted. There are notes of cocoa, bitter chocolate, nutella and capuccino coffee. I noticed also a perfumey hint that detracts from the overall profile and makes the smell feel a little unclean.
Flavor is affected by a sour-ish sign of infection. Underneath the lemony and grassy hitns there is some cocoa and chocolate mousse. Could be OK, but not in this state.
Medium mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Finish is long and chocolatey. Decent aftertaste. Need a good bottle to rerate but it seems this one has batch problems.
almosi (279), Viña del Mar, Chile Dec 24, 2007 The aroma is strong, probably a bit mellow. Has a rather dark foam, with very little cord. In the palate is very wrong. (I will try again). davidpl (393), Santiago, Chile Nov 29, 2007 Appearance: dark brown color. Medium head, beige and persistent.
Aroma: roast malts, candy, some chocolate and milk with coffee. Very yeasty. A rare plastic smells.
Flavor: disappointingly (I had high expectations in this beer) and unfortunately, existing infection problems. Some toasty malty and chocolate taste. Excessive yeasty.
Palate: medium body; light to medium carbonation.
