Bottle from a local getränkemarket. Looks good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts fine malty, modest sourish-yeasty, some earthy notes. Finish well balanced, spicy, some nutty notes. Not bad!

500ml bottle. Hazy, brown colour, ruby red glimmer, with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally grainy, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some husk and hay. Taste is minimally roasty dark malty, subtle sweetness with malt lozenge touch, some husk. Meh.

Clear reddish brown color, off-white head. Malty, clean taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Mild, sweet scent.

Shared a 50cl bottle. Pours a hazy light brown to amber colour with a steady low white head. Aroma is caramel, light roasted, bread and dark fruits. Average and lively carbonation and medium body. Taste is balanced, a bit more sweet than bitter with some roasted notes. Overall, a nice drinkable beer.

50cl fliptop, Edeka Mohr, Bonn. Tour de Rheinländle 02/2014. Became aware of this Koblenz brewery on the less-than-inspiring condensed beer list of the Freiburger Bierhaus, where it was the only unknown factor. Makes sense now learning that they are on a Bitburger portfolio. Beer itself is a bit of a bland blend of everything, although nothing bad combined: mildly süffig like Keller, some roast and toffee from a Dunkel, hinting towards smoke but stopping at burnt match. All aromas and tastes blend into each other, well-defined aromas are not within reach and yet this is an enjoyable beer. (Minus points for marketing "ein echtes Frischeprodukt" while using hop extract). Now why it should make its way 400km down south is another issue...

Bottle from trade with beerhunter111 - many thanks! The beer pours out in a light unclear brown colour with steady low head and medium body. Aroma of malt and leaves. Taste of mild malt, mild hops, barley, bread, leaves and nuts. Caramel-sweetish finfish. Very average.

Mittelbraun, leicht trüb, gute Schaumkrone. Hefiges Blockmalzaroma. Dünner Antrunk. Hefiger Start, dann malzaromatisch nach Karamell, Toffee und leicht nussig. Angenehm herb im Nachgeschmack. Insgesamt wesentlich besser als das helle Kellerbier.

Countbeer (5337) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - SEP 10, 2013
Bottle: Served in some kind of pils taster glass: Medium sized, very vast and thick, slowly changing creamy off white foamy head on top of a cloudy amber to brown colored beer. Aromas of honey, toast, malts, some caramel, some leaves, some slight hints of marzepin, grains and herbs. Flavours of toast, cream, malts, bitters, some leaves, hints of caramel and honey, hints of herbs and caramel and some malted grains. Though it’s a Dunkel and you taste a Dunkel it’s not that Dunkel... Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, malts, toast, some meal and light porridge. Low carbo, creamy miuthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture.
