500ml brown bottle, poured into a lager glass. Appearance is clear mahogany with a medium sized foamy beige head, that when reduced left just a little lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and caramel. Flavours of roasted malt, caramel and maple syrup. Taste is light-medium sweet and light bitter. Palate is light-medium bodied, slightly oily texture and average carbonation. Uncomplicated but pleasant flavours, lightly hopped and malty without being dark. Czechs know how to make good lagers.

Bottle. The label says "Zlatopramen - AMBER BEER". Dark amber beer with a medium beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and a slight fruitiness. Flavor is sweet malt and toast with light bitterness (but still some sweetness as well) in the finish. Quite medium-bodied, but still slightly thin I think. Rather enjoyable.

500ml bottle.
Deep red, small head. Grainy aroma. Rich full bodied taste, grainy and with some burnt malts. Hops are a little astringent, but not offensively so. Pretty good quaffer, full flavoured from the dark half, and refreshing from the light half.

Bottle, 4.8% as Zlatopramen Half’n’Half. Roasted and vinous aroma. The flavour is vinous and sligthly sweet. Good roasted flavour, mild yet flavourful. A bit too sweet perhaps.
