Zlatopramen 11 dark is traditionally brewed from barley malts, hops and water. Owing to a specific combination of several sorts of barley malts and their processing, our beer obtains an individual and characteristic taste. The delicious bitterness and the pleasant hoppy aroma of our beer come from Bohemian hops, grown in traditional hop areas and in part in our own hop gardens. The caramel taste is brought in harmony with fine bitterness and mild sweetness. This is the reason of a rare experience on drinking. The combination of employed malts imparts a pleasant colour to the beer.

50 cL bottle, comes as Dark Beer, 4.8%. Pours dark brown with a deep redish glare and a slowly diminishing tan head. Mild roasted malt aroma. Sweet malt flavour. Light roasted and mild fruity note following. Shows a brief liqourice note before the finish. This goes into the finish mixing with a nice bitterness. Lovely!

I drank a dark Zlatopramen Dunkel bought in Poland, so I reckon it was this one made for Polish market. However, the ABV of mine beer was 5,1% Anyway, it had a standard dunkel look with a pretty solid head. Slightly fruity, roasted coffee flavour with a bitter aftertaste. Drinks very well, definitely a fine one.

bottle. Dark brown colour, large head. Well-blanaced, not sweet and not bitter, with flavours of malt and roasted malt, caramel, and a hint of coffee. Dry finish.

Sweet malt aroma, with some brown sugar, dark chestnut, pours a large toffee head. Fine malt flavour, more hints of brown sugar. Medium bodied, pleasantly sweet, well balanced. Very good offering. Thanks Radek.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of straw. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel and brown sugar, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Bottled. Brown with a rich, steady and creamy head. Sweet aroma with hints om raisins. Sweet though fresh flavour with a fruity note from prunes.

Some caramel and some sulfur in the nose, lovely clear dark copper color and low tight head. Given the color I would have expected a heavier malt body. Toasted grains, some toffee, and a bitter finish that is interesting. Thinish and kinda simple. Nice but not thrilling.
