Bottle contributed by EG and shared with JMD at HNB 02.04.15. Clear golden. Fairly persistent white head and lacing. Fine aroma of Czech hops, grass, flowerfields, malt, marmelade and succade. Similar and well-balanced taste, with evident malt. Decent bitterness. Very quaffable. The brewers at the Dutch Heineken brewery could benefit their customers by going on a study trip to their Slovakian colleagues.

Aromas of white grapes, very grassy, limey, bready. Slightly hazy orange-gold, head vanishes quickly and completely. Mostly dry, malt sweetness upfront accompanied by fruity yeast notes, followed by sharp grassy hops. Light bodied.

Bažant z fľašky, slušná pena, krúžkuje na pohári, sladová, plná chuť s miernou horkosťou. Jeden z najlepších slovenských euro-ležiakov.

zapach zielonej butelki, konkretny, ziołowy, bardzo lekko żelazisty. kolor złoty, przejrzysty, piana średnia, dość ładna. w smaku dość pełne, z wysoką goryczką i lekkim posmakiem mlecznym. goryczka ziołowa, czysta i krótka. lekki metaliczny posmak, nasycenie średnie.

A touch darker than many similar beers -- golden pale yellow. Minor head. A touch of a grainy/malty aroma. Assertive bitterness. Light body. Not too much hop flavor or aroma, but good bitterness. A slight skunky note. A touch of sweetness in the middle.

Uh, let’s try to think of something positive to say. The aroma isn’t TOO skunky. The taste starts off okay before the finish (which somehow manages to be both bitter and cloying) ruins it. Yeah, that’s about all I can do in terms of niceness.

Bottle. A- Corn, cereal, water, sweet, grassy. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Corn, cereal, grassy, barley. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, skunky finish. O- Wow, this started off smelling alright but at first sip I wasn’t sure this was even worth a new country tick. I finished it but barely. Just awful.
