NOt really interesting. A little Bohemian or Polish for being Slovak, but anyway.

Bottled. A golden coloured beer which has a decent white head on first pouring. The aroma and taste are very typical of the style. Floral Saaz hops and a little grassiness. Ok and quite refreshing, but this style really doesn’t set the World alight.

Bottle. But also drank regualrly in Slovak republic a couple of years ago. Clear golden beer with medium white head quite light and dry some bitterness but otherwise fairly unremarkable.

pours a very bright clear golden color with a nice white head which looks very nice at first but then fades to a very unappetizing soapy look. Nice hop aroma with more earthy aromas like hay and grass that can be expected from european hops. the taste starts out unremarkable and then finishes with a long malty, bready flavor. More full bodied and flavored than it appears in the glass. A nice refreshing brew that remarkably comes from Heineken, too bad the US doesn’t get their best.

This beer has a very mild aroma of hops. It is the color of corn starch with a yellowish head. This beer is really thin. It could be mistaken for water except for the very mild taste of wheat.

DarkElf (3033) - La Jolla, California, USA - FEB 28, 2006
(500 ml bottle: $1.79 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Fairly generic European pilsner with a sweet bready maltiness early and a gentle hops bitterness coming in for some balance in the finish. A touch of butteriness shows up late in the finish as the beer warms up. But otherwise, there just isn’t much here and the aftertaste is borderline unpleasant. Bready, grainy malts in the nose, with a touch of cardboard that isn’t present in the flavor. Light-medium body with soft carbonation. Pale golden in color with a slight haze, and the off-white head shows fairly typical size, retention and lacing. I wasn’t expecting Pilsner Urquell or anything here, but this beer was still a disappointment.

Golden amber, moderate head, good retention. Nice grassy hop aroma that carries over to the palate. dry finish. Enjoyable.

Fresh aroma with notes of oxidation. Pleasant, pithy flavor, somewhat spicy and malty. Light bitter, dry end, but light shor, too. Some oxidation in it.
