3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nothing wrong with this, except possibly too much traveling and too long on the shelf. Reaching bar back into the cooler, I tried to find a bottle with as little exposure to light as possible due to the green bottle. Fortunately this worked, and this beer is still in good condition. Considerable carbonation that explodes to create a thick white head, then setles to a lace on top of the beer. The hop aroma is much lighter than in the best of the style, but not bad, earthy and herbal. The flavor has some sweet malt, lightly hopped but enough to stand out, and a very dry finish. There are far worse out there, and this is surely a pilsner and not a pale lager.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap in Slovakia this is a world class beer. Its too bad that its shelf life is short when bottled so it leaves people with the wrong impression. This beer needs to be fresh and consumed within 3 months of being brewed. Check the expiry date which is usually a year after is was made. If it is older than 6 months dont bother. (This is the same for most czech/slovak beers!)

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark yellow, no head. Corny, slightly skunky aroma. Veggie, grassy slightly sour flavors dominate. Dryish finish. Crisp, clean palate, but the skunkyness begins to take over as it warms.

Á pilsener, well right, but not a special good one, It has some ok opped aroma, but the flavor is somehow too sharp, alcohol? I think not, but sharp anyway. Unpleasent sharp.

From a half liter bottle. Aroma a bit skunky at first - could be the green glass. Nice thick, white head that lasted. Good carbonation. Not as much complexity as its Czech cousins. Nice bitterness, but the malt needs work. I remember this stuff being better years ago (pre Heineken). Maybe the ingredients or process was changed. Still a decent beer.
