2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2007 <Bottle at home, b-day 2005>
An above avarage pilsner with a clear golden look and a minimal white head. Medium bitterness and a fizzy sensation. Better finish than most pilsners, not as bitter, which is why i find it an above avarage pilsner

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light copper in colour and well carbonated. Saaz hop type aromas are dominant, with some light honey-like malt playing a minor role. The body is somewhat thin and watery, but the flavors are alright, with notes of grassy hops, minerals, and light malt. Not quite bitter enough for my taste, and a little on the simple side, but not too bad at all. It compared favorably to the Urquell I had afterwards.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden color with a large fluffy head. Aroma of malt with a bit of skunk. Flavor is malty with a quick hop finish. Very soft mouthfeel. Nice beer for the style.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured from a green 1pt 0.9 fl oz bottle. Golden color with a thin and quickly dissapating white head. Minimal lacing. Unmistakable skunk odor hides any hint of hops or malt. Flavor is excruciatingly plain and almost nonexistent except for the aforementioned skunk. Considering that I have much better stuff in the fridge, it might just get poured down the drain.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, 500 ml from BevMo. Pours light amber and clear with a large creamy white head that diminished mostly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is bready, with hints of citrus and floral hops. Flavor is pleasant mostly if somewhat underwhelming, crisp and sweet with a nice hop character featuring a light spiciness and subtle herbs. Thin body and gentle carbonation make this one an easy drinking pilsner, suitable for summer thirst quenching.

Blonde dorée, apparence translucide et filtrée. Grains et houblons épicés, une dose de sulfure et de houblon floral rappelant une Kolsch. Corps d’épaisseur semi mince, finale mi-sčche et faiblement houblonnée. Bouteille, LCBO, Janvier 2005.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Pours a fairly deep golden color. Fairly sizable head. Aroma is quite grainy. A little bit of a sweet malty aroma as well. Slightly sweet grainy flavor. Some maltiness going on. A little bit of a bitter finish. I think the pheasant is quite pleasant.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Strong euro pils aroma. Gold body with small particalia and steady plentiful visible carbonation. Small white head, mostly diminishing. Nice lace. Dry flavor. No blatant flaws but no outstanding qualities either. I like the logo and packaging; the etched pheasant logo on the glass is sharp. Unfortunately, the product inside does not live up to it. Disappointing.
