I would love to get this fresh from the tap, but I had to settle for a bottle. Anway, it has a rich, gold color, and a head that disappeared way too fast. Nice aroma. Malt and hops share the flavor profile, but the hops prevail for the finish. Good carbonation -- very drinkable.

500 mL bottle. Yellow gold with generous, but quickly dissipating head. Mild aroma is sweet - overripe apples. Hops dominate the flavour - not in a good way. Some corn. A litlle citrus. Not much finish.

Skunky corn aroma with a golden color and small bubbly. quick dissipating head of one finger. Taste of corn, grass, lime and hops. Reminds me of Heineken in many ways... Watery yet balanced. Good beer no doubt, but not particularly interesting.

Bottle: Golden color, light head. Nose is somewhat sweet and malty, light candy hops and a bit of husk and adjunct. Decent maltiness in the flavor and a light crisp hop finish. The mouthfeel and body is a bit thin and it has a very flavor and aroma flaws, notably that sweet fermented fruit ethanol feel you get mainly in malt liquors. Overall not horrible as international lagers go. Go Slovakia!

Pours a pale gold with a thin head and light carbonation. The nose is malty with hints or corn. Flavour is well hopped and bittersweet. (500ml bottle)

Nothing wrong with this, except possibly too much traveling and too long on the shelf. Reaching bar back into the cooler, I tried to find a bottle with as little exposure to light as possible due to the green bottle. Fortunately this worked, and this beer is still in good condition. Considerable carbonation that explodes to create a thick white head, then setles to a lace on top of the beer. The hop aroma is much lighter than in the best of the style, but not bad, earthy and herbal. The flavor has some sweet malt, lightly hopped but enough to stand out, and a very dry finish. There are far worse out there, and this is surely a pilsner and not a pale lager.

On tap in Slovakia this is a world class beer. Its too bad that its shelf life is short when bottled so it leaves people with the wrong impression. This beer needs to be fresh and consumed within 3 months of being brewed. Check the expiry date which is usually a year after is was made. If it is older than 6 months dont bother. (This is the same for most czech/slovak beers!)
