Courtesy G$ of KSS. Clear gold. 1cm dense, spongey white head. Nose of malted grain and corn. Flavor adds a bit of crisp hops and more corny grains. Light, balanced body. Bleh.

50 cL bottle. Pours golden orange with small crispy head. Aroma is sweet malty, promising a sweet beer. Flavour is malty, rather dry leading into hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle: Pours a light clear gold pils into the flute. 2 finger rocky white cap decent retention for a commercial pils and left lacing on the glass sides. Aroma was floral...wee bit of spice and earthiness...light dusty biscuit malts dominate. Character...light to medium light hard mineral mouthfeel, metalic/ mineral quality to the chracter where it should be "spicy". Profile: A tad sweet in the front but some good dryness from buiscuity malts and saaz hop "bite" soon prevails...mid palate things start to fall apart ..some mineral decernment dominate over the malts and hernal hops.. it’s metalic, iron, blood ( probably the water) starts riding with the medicinal hops to dry out the finish...however this is a concerning metalic-blood aftertaste that lingers...it shouldn’t A decent enough pils..crisp clean but I dont care for this mineral/metallic taste.

Pours bright gold into a shaker. Bright white head subsides to skim surface. Malt and candy aromas. Crisp with bitter hops. Fairly quick in the finish.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2008 Nice white head that goes away pretty quickly. Aroma of nice floral hops mostly, with a tad bit of Moravian malt sweetness in their too. Nice. Flavour is almost identical to the aroma but with a tad bit more emphasis on the bitter Saaz hops. It’s my kind of Pils, in that the sweet, almost fruity malts prevent an overly-dry, hoppy finish and undertone to the beer. A very nice aftertaste of those pils malts, with a hint of Saaz. A decent one over-all IMHO, eminently drinkable, as a good pilsener should be. Worth a try if you’re into the Bohemian Pilsner, which I am. Don’t be put off by the low percentile.

Draught, at Crown Hotel, Bratislava, Slovakia.
Golden pilsner, served with a large bright shinny white head. Modest bitter aroma. Simple sugar flavours are just about held up by the bitterness. Narrow on the palate, with a short to moderate finish.

Pours a clear, gold with a light white head, disappearin quickly. Smell id preety grainy, some corn, yeast, and just a semblance of a little cinnamon. Maybe thats trying to be nice. Taste is very grainy as I was expecting, a little bitter, good amount of corn. Definitely drinkable, but nothing I’d drink again.

quite light, but ok, bohemian pils aroma with alcoholic note, bitter but slightly thin.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2007 Bottle. Beautiful clear pils with a huge white head. Not much in the nose, but it’s a clean not much. Flavor is most of the same, grassy and crisp. Palate is fantastic though, full-bodied and strong, making it a really drinkable beer.

12 oz. bottle provided by Doboy.POured into a Pilsener glass, this showed a nice white head over a light gold, but the head collapsed pretty quickly. Some oxidation noticed in the aroma, also some light grainy notes, but not much else. Light body with a pretty clean palate. Flavor is undewhelming with a light maltiness, a fairly strong bitterness, and a bit of a a metallic aftertaste. Overall, the aroma, flavor, green bottle, and overseas origin lead me to believe that this wasn’t the freshest example. That’s why I tend to shy away from similar beers from Europe - jsut too risky with such a delicate style.
