TBone (12477) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 19, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2004 Bottled (ABV 5.0%, label "Golden Pheasant Premium", BB 12/2004)
Beautiful goldem with white head, lace. Strong hoppy Saaz-nose, slightly dunk. Flavor is more sweet malty than bitter hoppy. Medium-balanced body, bitter hops come in aftertaste. (4/3/6/3/11 2.7)
Re-rated, bottle (BB 07/2005, alc. 4.6%, label "Golden Pheasant Premium")
Lager color, creamy mostly vanishing white head. Fresh "Urquell"-nose when you open the bottle, then a bit metallic. Smooth malty palate with a good balance from hops. (7/2/6/4/13 3.2)

GrainBeltGuzzler (249) - Goodhue, Minnesota, USA - JUN 8, 2004
Pretty ok beer, nothing that one would expect to be imported, I don’t know if it was worth shipping it all the way from Slovak. All in all tastes kind of like a high quality American standard

envane (567) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2004
Gold coulour. Taste is initially corny sweet, lightly hopped. Aftertatse is bitter and metallic. Eh.

Tessic (840) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2004
Smells like a skunks ass, little carmel, corn syrup. Initial taste, hoppy similar to a Labbatt Blue. Dwindels off to Corn Flakes and perfume. Slight bitter finish

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 10/20
Indra (2595) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - MAY 17, 2004
Lightly spicy, herbal hop aroma, faint notes of hay and Pilsner malt. Golden yellow color, very effervescent with slight lacing and head. Flavor is lightly malty to start, some very short flowery notes about midpoint and a crisp, dry, gently bitter and hoppy (Saaz) finish. Fairly refreshing, the only real complaint would be perhaps a general blandness and lack of character.

dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 16, 2004
Light golden in color with a small white head that quickly fades and leaves a lacing around the rim.Aroma is of earthy hops.Malty flavor with a touch of hops, grainy with a clean dry finish.A beer that was much better than expected.

caledonian (367) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 19, 2004
Bottled 5% version from LCBO. Slightly sweet aroma. Pale golden color with a weak head. Dry finish. Drinkable, but much the same as a cheap american macrobrew.

PorterPounder (5371) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2004
Overall, bland. Light golden appearance, pillowy white head, good lacing. Lifeless mouthfeel. Flavor has some peppery essence to it with just a tad bit of Saaz hop bitterness. A bit of a biscuity flavor to it as well. Not much else going on with this. Dull.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 12/20
Aurelius (4065) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2004
Sweet malty aroma. Good label, medium golden beer with a rafting head. Malty, golden fruity, cakey flavors. A bit tart. Not very hoppy, it didn't seem to have enough hops to get it into the pils and out of the lager category. Substantial mouth, but needing a little fizz.
