Pours a pale golden color w/ a precise, well uniformed shallow semi creamy froth. Lacing is minimal yet complete. Aromas of toasted skunk, like puppies breath. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. This brew has a hoppy crispness yet mellow going down. The mid palate is where all the action is. Slight skunk yet not offensive. The finish is bittered perfectly. A nice specimen but not what I look for in a good pils. The best thing about it is the way the froth pours a settles quickly. It sits there and slowly dissipates like a good soldier.

Bottle. Plae yellow colour with mostly diminishing white head. Slightly sweet malt and a little hops in the aroma. Rather sweet malt in the flavor. Watery on the palate.

Bottle from State Line. The pour is medium golden, slightly hazy, with a 2-finger fizzy white head and a lot of small rising carbonation bubble. The aroma is grainy malt, slight hops, honey, and heavy thiols, which I deducted for. The palate is medium, fairly hefty for this style, with flavors of initial pale malt, subdued hops, and some off metallic notes, which i also deducted for. This one was forgettable for me, regrettably.

Better than it’s 10% cousin. Wish I could have brought over a few bottles with me.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Green 11 point something oz bottle. These UC countries are always shorting me by 8/10 of an ounce. Nice wrapper on the lid. Pours somewhat like transparent apple cider into my poor steeler stein. Aroma of yeast and a background of skunky vegetableness. Looks like lots of carbonation with the initial pour. The flavor is pleasing and has a light astringentness to it. The palate is cool with it’s tingly carbonation on the back of the throat. The finish is very different, it starts off mild and as time goes by it builds to the bitterness of a pilsner. Usually the bitterness fades on the finish, this one builds…interesting. Except for the odd bitterness on the finish this is an overall decent brew.

Golden yellow colored beer pour briskly from the sexy green bottle. It had a pleasant, mildly sweet aroma. Flavour of saaz hops, bready malt, grass. Fresh, creamy mouthfeel. Medium body and carbonation. Finish is a little light with a mild bitterness. Quite nice.

Bottle: Pours a faded straw yellow with a fizzy head. The body is also quite fizzy, with a lackluster mouthfeel. The aroma is light with hints of corn and grass. The body is light and drinkable, this is really refreshing. Light bready malts mostly. As it warms, the yeast presents a unpleasant earthy quality - almost cheese like. This one is best quaffed cold.

Nice, full-gold appearance. Woody/hoppy aroma profile. Quite palate cleansing - would go well with fish and chips. Flavours of hops and grass with a steely medium-short-length finish. Just a touch better than your average, everyday lager.
